Of French, Luxembourgish and British decent, Marianne Bourg was born in Germany. She has a younger brother. After leaving Germany at age 5, she spent most of her life in Luxembourg where she graduated high school with a specialization in Literature and Foreign Languages. She first studied Business and Finance in France and then Theater and Drama at the University of Cambridge. She later traveled around Asia and settled down in Cambodia for three months where she worked in a non-profit organization in partnership with UNESCO. Marianne Bourg started acting when she was 12, first at her school's theater company and later joining Luxembourg's National Conservatory for Drama at age 15. After graduating high school she took acting classes at Cours Florent in Paris while attending university. Realizing very soon that her passion for acting was calling too strongly for her to pursue a career in business, she moved to Los Angeles and started a full-time acting career. While finishing her MFA in acting, she worked on many shorts films and plays. She also wrote, produced and acted in her own short film, Silent Voices, in 2013. She made her feature film debut in Wizardream with Malcolm McDowell and later in the Japanese movie, The Gun Woman, which will be theatrically released in Japan.
